Following on from the information on the home page, the Camping and Caravanning Club in the UK is split into Regions and subsequently District Associations (DA) which are able to provide a more local feel to the club. Regions ask their DA’s to host an annual Meet in turn to which all the DAs within the region are invited. West Sussex is part of Southern Region and our next year for hosting is 2018. There is normally lots of activities going on,and its normally quite a big meet.
DA’s also host Meets (see the meets list above for ours) which are normally located within the local area.
As a DA we try to make the meets interesting and as varied as circumstances allow. We run this web page, which should give you information about whats happening and will give you some helpful hints and tips, we run closed Facebook group (i.e. you have to be a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club to join) we send out newsletters all to keep you informed.
We also have to comply with the rules and regulations sent down from Head Office which are there to ensure your safety when camping and to give guidance on what is needed and best practice for the administration side of the DA.
