Good Morning campers on yet another rainy day in ‘Wet’ Sussex and a chance to promote a couple of future events.
YOUR CLUB’S 62nd ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Saturday 21st March @ 11am
Coming up is our DA's AGM at Clapham Village Hall on Saturday 21st March @11am, followed by a complimentary lunch as a thank you for supporting our Meeting! For catering please let us know if you are coming along - thank you. No camping, just the meeting and a chance to get together at the start of a new season. Your support is always very important in keeping our DA running.

Regrettably we anticipated that as Easter was at its earliest this year there would be a good chance that the ground could be waterlogged and Meets would get cancelled. So we gambled and took the decision to not book our usual, very popular Easter Meet this year at Clapham; but we will be back at Clapham Village Hall for camping for the May Bank Holiday instead.

We are looking to fill two vacant posts:
1. A Sites Officer to organise and book the camping sites and fixtures ahead, and during our camping season. Many have already been pre booked, so you can ease yourself into the role gradually.
2. A Treasurer - again not needed until the end of this year. However, it’s very important that we have someone in place to take over the position. If anyone is good with figures and would like to give something back to your club, then please give this some thought. There will be plenty of time to familiarise yourself with the accounting system, with help at hand.

Welcome to our friendly community
You’ll get a great welcome at the West Sussex District Association of The Camping & Caravanning Club. We are a very active group with 12 Meets throughout the year including our 3-week famous THS arranged for 2026 and many more Meets already planned for 2027.
West Sussex has some of the most beautiful areas in the UK and we are so lucky to be able to arrange our weekend Meets in the beautiful South Downs and surrounding areas. If your idea of a weekend camping is to just sit and relax or to maybe join in the fun with like-minded campers, you’ll be made very welcome.

Our THS (Temporary Holiday Site)
2026 - this year our THS at Lancing College, West Sussex will be held from 31st July to 23rd August. The meet runs for 3 weeks and is jam packed with fun and entertainment. Of course, there’s always the opportunity to just enjoy the peace and quiet but there’s no pressure, we welcome all members.

Join The Camping and Caravanning Club today to benefit from over 100 years of expertise as well as specially selected discounts tailored to our members. As soon as you are a member you will be assigned to a District Association (DA). This will be the closest DA to where you live and shown on your membership card. You are then free to go camping with any of the 93 DA's over 13 Regions in the UK.
