Thanks to Karel for stewarding this weekend. Everyone had a great time with the Hottest weekend of the year so far. Such a lovely site with a pub in walking distance with the woods and wildlife as well, if it was a tad warm at times.

Our first Meet of the season was well attended and proved very popular with those that finally managed to get away camping after all of the restrictions and lock downs.

27 units braved the few showers between the sun and the wind. A lovely site placed in the South Downs surrounded by wonderful views and plenty of foot paths to get to Findon, High Salvington, Patching and Cissbury Ring for the more adventurous. From the top of the hill adjacent to the site there are views across the south coast stretching as far as the Isle of Wight.

With the new enthusiastic owners , I’m sure we will return again.

This Aviation Museum has a unique collection of British aircraft from the “golden age” of British aircraft manufacture. From the end of WWII until the 1970’s British aircraft designers produced some of the most innovative and advanced aircraft of the day. From post war to cold war, this museum clearly shows that timeline in aviation terms. Amongst the list are classic names, Avro, Hawker, Gloster, De Havilland, English Electric, Blackburn, Percival.

Hi Everyone,  Hooray,we are back to being able to camp. Our first meet at Findon wasvery well attended and it was good to see everyone out again. Our next meet for the Bank Holiday is at Terra Amata Farm, a new site at West Chiltington. We have a large number of bookings already so hopefully the weather will be kind to us   We look forward to seeing you all again soon Stay safe Celia

West Sussex have received direction from Head Office instructing us to organise our AGM, (which must take place annually,) as a virtual online Meeting and not at the advertised venue, due to the pandemic. It will remain at the advertised time & date, 11am on Saturday 3rd April. However it will be held virtually on Zoom. If you would like to join the AGM, then you simply need to contact our secretary by email on- secretary@westsussexda.co.uk Including your name, address & membership number.   In return we will send you the link to join the Zoom AGM meeting along with the agenda. (Obviously you need to download the ‘Zoom’ app.)

We have a few spaces available on our committee for anyone that might be interested in joining us & helping out your DA? If you are interested and would like to find out a little more of what would be involved, then feel free to message me. ( pat@westsussexda.co.uk )     After the AGM there will also be a short ‘question time’ If you would like to put a question or suggestion to your committee, then please forward it in advance to our secretary, purely to save time on the day. Answers can be prepared to keep the meeting flowing.
