HELP NEEDED
The Social Camping team has been asked by ‘Cambrian and Wyvern Region’ to contact Club Units in the hope that you may have stewards available to help them in the operation of their forthcoming Temporary Holiday Site at ‘Nuholme’ in Chipping Norton later this month and through to July. Their request has been included below:
The THS starts on 20th June and ends on 20th July 2025.
We had stewards lined up for the whole of the THS, but unfortunately, one couple who were going to cover the middle two weeks have unfortunately had to cancel due to illness and we have exhausted our resources again due to accidents and ill health. We would ideally like cover from 24th June until 11th July, and we are happy for this to be covered by more than 1 unit.
The site is one mile west of Chipping Norton on the A44 towards Morton in Marsh. The site is called Nuholme Camping Site and the address is: Worcester Road, Chipping Norton, OX7 5YD. The site is listed on www.siteseeker.co.uk. There is a gate entry/exit code for security.
The peaceful site is gently sloping with panoramic views over the Cotswold countryside and there is one shower and one toilet available on site. EHU is available for the steward's use.
The walk into Chipping Norton is walking uphill to the town Centre, but there is a local Villager Community bus that runs between the town at regular intervals and stops outside the site gate. Other buses run from the town centre to Oxford, Stratford on Avon, Blenheim Palace, and Banbury. Market day is on a Tuesday at Moreton in Marsh which is worth a trip.
The town of Chipping Norton has a variety of local shops as well as three supermarkets being Sainsburys, The Co-op and Aldi about half a mile out of town plus a M&S Foodhall.
We can arrange cover for the stewards to go off site, as we do have someone who can cover the odd day.
This THS attracts senior members of the Club, as it has found that grandparents enjoy a holiday before the school summer holidays commence although it also appeals to walkers who enjoy wandering around the area.
If anyone is available to assist us on any of the dates shown, could they please contact Rachel 07856 909 004 for further information.
As detailed above, if you can help Cambrian and Wyvern Region, please contact Rachel directly on 07856 909 004.
Our next Meet is at Laughing Fish, Isfield no need to book but it helps if you let us know - thank you!
